Week #55

Hello everyone,

I´m so very happy after a weekend so full of wonderful, unforgetable memories! This Saturday at 6pm I had the powerful experience of baptizing Chilo! Everything went great and when we got out of the water I asked him how he felt. He told me calm. Very calm and like a new person. I too felt a grand sense of peace and joy. I´m not a very good story teller but just know that that afternoon was extremely special and another witness to me that I am doing the work of the Lord. This is His church and I know it and feel it in every moment that I do His will. I will never forget the two years of full-time dedication as it has already impacted my life tremendously. I´m so happy to be a part of this down here in Mexico.

Week #54

Hey!

This week my companion has been a bit sick, but no worries I think he´s all better now. :-) We couldn´t go out to work a couple days but evenso..... Chilo is still getting baptized this Saturday! We are extremely excited because he truely is awesome. He´s very humble, sincere, understands very well what we teach, and a responsible person. His baptism gives a lot of energy to keep working hard. Today until Thursday we will be working in a trio with someone named Elder Jenne from down der in good ol´ Montana. haha He´s very new; he got to Mexico just three weeks ago. His companion (our district leader) went off to some conference thing in Tuxtla so here we are. It will be exciting to work in their area for a day.

I´m doing great and receiving lots of blessings for being here and working hard. I found out a long long time ago why they call this work. And I´m happy to be working for someone that pays good. haha For example, a sister in the ward who has a bit of money went to Tuxtla and bought a great big box of Honey Nut Cheerios! If thats not a blessing and dont know what is. :-D

Love you all and thanks for the support,

Elder Leslie

The nicer ciber was closed I´ll send photos next week. sorryyyyyy

Week #53

Hello,

This week we invited lots to baptism and we are really excited for them. We still need to teach them the importance of Keeping the Sabbath Day Holy and attending church, but I hope that we can communicate this commandment with the spirit. When we have the spirit and have studied and practiced beforehand, we are successful missionaries. Manytimes the fail in making the right decisions, but atleast we did our part. I want this so bad for Chilo, Consuelo, Pedrona, Yesenia, Fernando, and Carlos but understand they have their agency. We will do everything we can this week to help them come unto Christ. I want to see all of them get baptized and be faithful members for the rest of their life. I will build up the church and do miracles here in Tapana with my trusty companion, Elder Day. We are getting along great and always have the spirit with us. Many obstacles come our way, but we aren´t letting anything get us down. I´m doing great and working hard.

Thanks for your support!
